Haymarket Media Group is the largest private magazine publisher in the United Kingdom, with 100 publications in 31 languages and in almost 50 nations around the globe. Haymarket engaged CarbonAqua to improve energy efficiencies, thereby reducing costs and
making a very positive contribution to controlling the impact of Global Warming. The first initiative has resulted in Haymarket reducing their Carbon Emissions by circa 2 million kgs (2,000 tonnes). This has been achieved by negotiating a supply contract transferring all Haymarket’s sites to 100% Green Electricity. Resultant monetary savings for Haymarket have been circa 40%.

The Green Electricity purchased by Haymarket is sourced from a variety of generation types including wind power, bio-mass, municipal incinerated waste, hydro and landfill gas; the exact portfolio changing depending on availability. Further Carbon Emission reductions will be achieved overtime through the implementation of energy and water consumption conservation and management initiatives.
